Fagerberg Produce is a family-owned onion grower/shipper that has been in business for over 40 years. Our facility is located roughly an hour north of Denver in Eaton, CO. We sort and package our locally grown onions, then ship them to national retailers and food services. Our farm, office and warehouse staff all play an integral role in producing quality Colorado onions. Our company's focus is to provide for our employees and serving our local community.
Job Description:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with daily shed activities. This individual will be trained to operate and service our Compac cup sizer and must be ready to “wear many hats”. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will also be trained on how to implement and monitor warehouse safety procedures, as well as maintaining product quality control. Tasks and responsibilities change daily as this is a very flexible position. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will also perform general building maintenance and is provided the opportunity to work both inside and out. Due to the seasonal nature of agriculture, this individual must be willing to work extended hours during our busy season.
Responsibilities & Duties:

Ensure employees are follow food and worker safety protocols
- Complete cleaning inspection schedules
- Monitor/order packaging supply inventory
- Drive onion truck
- Building maintenance
- Ensure product is properly labeled

Assist with shipping/receiving
- May be asked to load and unload trucks

Monitor packing crew
- Ensure the correct product is being made
Schedule:
In-Season:
August – March. This is our busy time; we are sorting/sizing our own Colorado onions.
Off-Season:
March – July. This is our slower time; we perform machinery/warehouse maintenance while repacking and cross-docking.
Hours of operation are dependent upon customer orders, though we are typically the busiest during onion harvest (Aug/Sep), before Thanksgiving and before Christmas.
Required Skills:
- Forklift experience
- Mechanically inclined
- General computer skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in produce industry
- Experience in a packing shed
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
- Agriculture background
- Experience supervising others
