Eastside Packing, Inc. is an independent citrus packing, cold storage, and shipping facility in Reedley, California. We are a family owned operation with roots going back over 100 years and four generations in the farming, packing, and sales of fresh fruits. We are currently in a growth trajectory expanding our currently packing operations of mandarin and lemon varieties to all types of citrus.
We have an immediate opportunity for a Production Manager to join our team as a key part of the management of the company responsible for the day-to-day operation of the packinghouse.
The Production Manager is responsible for fulfilling the sales orders issued by the sales company. The Production Manager manages the daily planning and implementation of fruit processing and packing activities required to meet the needs of the company. This position is responsible for directing and supervising other personnel associated with the operation and working with and communicating effectively with field operations, quality assurance and sales company personnel.
The Production Manager reports directly to the Packinghouse Manager/CEO, who has authority concerning any disciplinary or dismissal actions for or against the position.
This position requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in production management with citrus packinghouse experience preferred. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Must have a demonstrated history of excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency with computers and related software, specifically, Word, Excel, database programs.
Proficiency with Famous, Spokane, Lotpath and other industry programs a plus. Bilingual a plus (Spanish).

- Regularly required to walk, use hands and fingers to feel/grasp.
- Reach with both hands and arms. Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to perform tasks that require stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, pulling, and pushing, Work performed in wet environment, cold storage, outside weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, among operating equipment and forklifts, chemicals, and loud noise.
- Ability to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
