JOB FILLED - Sales Account Manager

Job Description: 

Duda Farm Fresh Foods is currently looking for a qualified Sales Account Manager to join our Sales team in Salinas, California. As a Sales Account Manager you will focus on proactively managing a series of accounts comprised of retail, wholesale, and foodservice.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing an account specific and strategic plan for sales growth focused on sustaining and maximizing long term profits. Relationship building skills and accurate market knowledge is a must to achieve these goals.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, efficient with their time and a problem solver that works well within a team while striving to excel with their customers. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage customer account in compliance with sales strategies and plan.
  • Perform Product Manager role as liaison between harvest and sales team for assigned product line.
  • Establish daily pricing range and future AD promotions for assigned product line.
  • Stay current on market conditions and outlook for given product line.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of each customer's business and anticipate customer needs.
  • Develop, manage, and implement customer relationships including resolution and pricing.
  • Establish and build strong work relationships with all team members to ensure the successful and repeat delivery of services to customer accounts.
  • Investigate, track, and resolve customer/client concerns; identify trends and implement solutions.
  • Provide customer/client feedback to Production Management, Sales Management, and other departments with regards to product specifications and expectations.
  • Retain and grow your assigned key accounts. Must consistently track customer development to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Travel: Customer, field, market visits and industry functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ year account management and/or outside sales experience required.
  • High level presentation and selling skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow up.
  • Organizational and time management skills. The ability to manage several projects at once and to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent telephone skills and demonstrated proficiency in written communication.
  • Self-motivated team player with results-oriented attitude and creative background.
  • Persuasive, courteous, perceptive to customers’ needs and possesses a strong customer service focus.
  • Diligent, ambitious, and confident.
  • Skill to assimilate and work effectively within the company culture.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish a PLUS.
  • Experience in working with iTrade, Foodlink, or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Functional competency in Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • This is a daytime position and interested candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and weekends as required by business operations.
