Job Description: 
Large vertically integrated tree fruit organization is looking to add to our team. Specifically, we are searching for a highly motivated Warehouse Operations Manager for our Apple packing facility. Our Warehouse Operations Manager will evaluate, plan, organize, and manage all production operations. The Warehouse Operations Manager will provide leadership and coordination of general warehouse administration, accounting, budgeting, and planning of our continued development.  The Operations Manager will report directly to the VP of Operations. The various Department Managers, Equipment, and Building Maintenance Managers will report directly to the Operations Manager. 
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, develop and manage warehouse personnel
  • Develop new and existing employees through coaching and leadership
  • Assist with strategic and operational planning
  • Oversee the continued warehouse development 
  • Oversee and contribute to overall warehouse operating budgeting
  • Direct all activities necessary to operate and support warehouse at maximum efficiency; Direct and coordinate development, training to maximize quality output via effectiveness and efficiency of employees  within established budgets; 
  • Contribute towards profitability and growth of the Company; 
  • Work with all departments including Sales, Accounting,  Human Resource, Compliance and Food Safety as well as outside services to optimize warehouse operations;
  • Manage maintenance, repair, and replacement of all material, equipment, and supplies; 
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal ordinances, regulations, and applicable laws; and, ∙ Ensure employment practices and policies, including food safety and employee safety protocols are enforced and abided by  
  • Communicate effectively with bi-lingual staff
  • Attend annual industry workshops and conferences
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships
  • Knowledge of agricultural production and soil science.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups with an ability to lead and influence 
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred to communicate with majority Spanish speaking workforce
Requirements: 
  • Ability to work extended hours; work nights, weekends or as business needs arise during seasonal peak needs
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment with a positive attitude
  • Understanding Food Safety Rules and Regulations and Compliance 
  • Professional, dependable, principled, and honest.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’  experience required
