We seek a reliable logistics coordinator responsible for preparing and managing company purchase orders. A logistics coordinator’s responsibilities include reviewing shipment materials and collaborating with transportation to ensure on-time pick-ups and delivery. You will also monitor the related costs to minimize expenses and focus on and generate business through new and existing sales. The candidate will be experienced at prospecting new leads, territory planning, cold calls, relationship building, and, most importantly, follow-up. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Three to five years related to the freight forwarding industry, including prospecting, cold calling, and providing freight alternatives.
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
- Tracking and fixing shipping errors.
- Ability to manage customer relationships through creative problem-solving. Ability to interpret customer needs into a service “value proposition” and develop appropriate quotations.
- Ability to coordinate and respond to conversations, written requests, and multi-sourced communications. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to compute cost/pricing factors based on customer product, mode of transport, fees, and handling.
- Preparing bills and invoices.
- Managing distribution and shipment expenses.
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
- Execute ad hoc projects that are needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a logistics coordinator position
- Experience seeing projects through the entire life cycle.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
- Knowledge of Famous Software, a significant plus
- Proficient in standard logistics software (Motive/TruckStop)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving solving, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail, coordinate and respond to conversations, written requests, and multi-sourced communications.
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to handle multiple purchase orders at once
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Approximately 100% of the time performing the job will be in an indoor office environment, most of that time spent sitting at a desk in front of a computer monitor.
- High use of communication either through the telephone or one-on-one communication.
- The noise level in the office is low, with temperature levels between 65-80 degrees.
- Maybe required to lift to 10 lbs. Bending, stooping, reaching all a probability.
