Make Your Mark in the Heart of California Agriculture!!
This is more than a Controller role—it’s a rare opportunity to step into financial leadership at a respected, multi-entity agricultural company in California’s Central Valley. The Specialty Crop Company (SpecCrop) is seeking a hands-on, strategic finance professional to lead its financial operations and contribute meaningfully to its long-term growth. If you’re energized by a blend of tactical execution and strategic planning—and thrive in a collaborative, people-first environment—this could be your next and last great career move.
Founded in 1989, SpecCrop is a family-owned agricultural leader and the world’s largest grower of fresh and dried figs. The company also cultivates pistachios, almonds, pomegranates, citrus, kiwi, and persimmons across ranches in Madera, Merced, and Fresno counties. Known for its deep community roots, sustainable farming practices (including organics), and reputation for integrity, SpecCrop offers a meaningful and enduring place to grow your career.
Why This Opportunity?
This role offers the chance to step into a high-impact leadership position with long-term stability and broad organizational visibility. As Controller, you’ll collaborate directly with ownership in a flat, transparent structure that values clarity, trust, and accountability. You’ll oversee financial operations across a diverse mix of ranching, farming, and client-based entities—gaining cross-functional influence and deep insight. The culture is people-first: informal, supportive, and built on strong, lasting relationships. In return for your expertise, the company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
The Ideal Candidate
SpecCrop is seeking a finance leader who brings both technical depth and cultural alignment. You are collaborative, proactive, and communicate with clarity and professionalism. You lead with integrity, value simplicity and accountability, and are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are presenting to ownership. You’re excited to contribute to a forward-thinking agricultural company that cares deeply for its people, its land, and its community.
