We are seeking a motivated and experienced Produce Sales Manager in Eastern WA to lead our sales team and expand our produce sales. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a critical department in a company that values providing a quality product to customers throughout the region. The Sales Manager will lead our sales team by providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. This position requires travel and service to our key accounts along with growing new business throughout various territories. 

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and strategic sales capabilities, coupled with a deep understanding of the produce industry. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, supporting team development, and aligning sales strategies with company objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Drive Produce sales to distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice customers.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across all geographical territories.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Develop annual sales plans, forecasts, and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with trucking operations and production departments to ensure product availability and delivery timelines.
  • Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and regional events to represent the Company and promote business.
  • Frequent travel to service existing accounts and sales visits to potential customers.
  • Train and develop sales team
  • Assist customers with retailing and merchandising
  • Promote a positive company image and operate under the highest ethical standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 5+ years of produce experience both sales and retail preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify sales patterns and trends.
  • Advanced time management skills.
  • Must be a positive, team oriented, self-motivated individual who is able to work independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of the produce industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Solid computer skills – Microsoft Office
  • Proven success with retaining, identifying, developing and growing business
  • Flexible schedule, must be willing and able to travel as required.
  • Clean 3-year driving record preferred. Must be able to meet insurability requirements.
