As an A&A Foodservice Salesperson, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as nurturing and growing relationships with existing customers. Your primary focus will be on driving sales, increasing market share, and achieving revenue targets within the assigned territory. You will work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and customer service team to ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and Prospect New Customers:
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers within the foodservice industry.
- Develop and implement strategies to reach and attract new customers.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
Grow Sales with Existing Customers:
- Build strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Regularly communicate with customers to present new products, promotions, and special offers.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
Achieve Sales Targets:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular follow-up calls and visits to ensure ongoing customer engagement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the sales team, marketing department, and customer service team to coordinate sales efforts.
- Provide feedback and insights to sales management to support the development of effective marketing campaigns.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry activities.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Prepare and submit regular sales activity reports and forecasts.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales strategies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Foodservice distribution sales experience required.
- Strong knowledge of foodservice products and the industry required.
- Applicants must reside in the Riverside/Redlands/Upland area.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires frequent travel within the assigned territory.
- Availability by phone in evenings and/or weekends work may be required.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary: $75,000-$150,000 annually plus commission compensation structure.
