Job Description:

Why Pioneer Growers?

At Pioneer Growers, you’re not just taking a job — you’re building a career with a team that feels like family. For 75 years, we’ve been one of the most trusted names in fresh produce, and our success comes from the people behind it. We are a grower-owned cooperative, meaning everything we do is built on teamwork, shared success, and long-term relationships — with our customers, our growers, and our employees.

If you want a sales role where your relationships matter, your experience counts, and your career can grow with the company, Pioneer Growers is the place to be. This is an opportunity to be part of a 75-year legacy brand with a strong reputation in the produce industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Salesperson to join our team in Belle Glade, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fresh produce sales, existing retail/foodservice/wholesale customer relationships, and a proven ability to manage accounts, negotiate pricing, and drive revenue growth. This individual will be responsible for expanding sales across our product portfolio, managing key accounts, and contributing to Pioneer’s long-term growth strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with retail, foodservice, wholesale, and distribution customers.
  • Drive sales across bulk and value-added products (sweet corn, green beans, cabbage, peppers, broccoli, leafy greens, and more).
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, and long-term supply agreements in line with cooperative strategies.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in untapped markets.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, demand forecasting, and competitive analysis to management.
  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account status in CRM/ERP systems.
  • Represent Pioneer Growers at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits.

What We’re Looking For

  • A relationship-driven salesperson who thrives on building trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in the fresh produce industry (retail, wholesale, or foodservice).
  • Strong existing network of contacts with major retailers, distributors, or foodservice accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of produce commodities, seasonality, supply chain, and pricing models.
  • Self-starter with excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); ERP/CRM experience preferred (e.g., Famous, Produce Pro).
  • Willingness to travel as required  (20–40%).

The Package

  • Competitive base salary + Bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, PTO).
  • Opportunity for advancement in a fast-growing cooperative.
  • Be part of a team celebrating 75 years of farm-to-table excellence.

When you join Pioneer, you get:

  • Career Growth – A chance to work directly with national retailers, foodservice distributors, and wholesalers within a rapidly expanding, grower-owned cooperative while building your own book of business.
  • Big Impact – You’ll be selling and have access to some of the largest year-round sweet corn and vegetable programs in North America, representing a company known for quality and reliability.
  • Strong Support – Work with a knowledgeable operations, logistics, and marketing team that sets you up for success.
  • Recognition & Rewards – Competitive pay, commission opportunities, and full benefits (including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off) because we know our people are the key to our growth.
  • A Voice at the Table – We are a cooperative, and our culture values input, collaboration, and shared wins.
