We are currently seeking to hire an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Scout in Livonia, Michigan. Salary will be commensurate on experience and track record.

Requirements:
- Horticulture, hydroponic vegetable growing greenhouse certification
- Pesticide license or assistant’s license
- Knowledgeable of hydroponic vegetable pests and disease identification
- Good verbal and written communicator
- Must be computer literate
- Must be honest and forthcoming, flexible, reliable, respectful to others, and passionate
- Must have a minimum of two years hands on experience.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Daily monitoring and scouting of pest and disease
- Supervision of IPM protocols of pest and disease management
- Compiling IPM and conventional reports for management review
- Monitoring efficiencies of control measures used
- Monitoring of plant growth and behavior response to feeding elements
- Verification of pest and disease infestation trends
- Management coordination on biological programs and implementation
- Follow- through in a timely manner of management’s plans on plant health
- Facilitating trials on new commercial products prior to applying to entire crop
- Maintaining up-to-date records
- Planning, organizing, training and assigning scout duties as required
