Job Description:
We are seeking a Plant Manager to join our team!
This position manages all employees of the plant operation and is responsible for the performance management, and hiring of employees within the plant.

Requirements:
- Five years minimum Plant/General Management experience in the food industry. Experience in a produce packing house would be an asset.
- Proven work experience as an operations manager.
- Proven Managerial experience.
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment.
- Understanding of and enforcing compliance with CFIA, HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Meeting rigorous inspections and tightening areas of concern.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day to day operations, ensuring goals are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Control operating costs, manpower, wages including overtime.
- Maintain plant facilities and equipment.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs (work with Maintenance Manager).
- Implement and Maintain cleaning and sanitizing operations.
- Daily communication with Sales office.
- Increase production, while minimizing unnecessary costs, and maintaining or improving current quality standards.
- Works with the company's main office to ensure accurate production costs and profitability.
- Develop and implement an organizational structure that supports high volume, accuracy and quality production.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards and on-time shipping, minimizing premium freight.
- Commit to ensure plant safety procedures are followed.
- Address employee’s issues and concerns.
- Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices.
