Job Description:
We have purchased approximately 700 acres of land in Coldstream and we will build a produce packing plant of 70,000 square foot state. We intend to begin operations in BC starting in the spring/early summer of 2018 and we are currently looking to fill the position of Packaging Gunner.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Prepare the packing operations of the orders:
- Recover unfinished pallets the day before
- Make sure there are enough boxes to pack the orders
- Confirm with the production supervisor the order of production of the orders and the lines that will be used
- Follow up on the working documents to the people concerned (labels, customer identification form, etc.) and communicate the order of production of the orders
Coordinate order packing operations:
- Check the accuracy of the information appearing on the bowls and boxes and the conformity of the packaging every 30 minutes
- Communicate with affected individuals with each product change
- Scan pallets in the EXA system
- Validate twice during the shift if the 10/10 "coding register" report is completed appropriately
Coordinate order changes:
- Retrieve the new working documents and distribute them to the people concerned
- Communicate with the people concerned for each change of orders
- Validate with the production supervisor the use of the surplus of products in case of cut of orders
- Rotate the raw material in the warehouse
Qualifications:
- High school diploma combined with relevant coordination experience
- Experience with different packaging operations
- Knowing how to count
- Ability to read a production schedule
- Ability to work standing and in a cold environment (3°C)
- Proficiency in spoken English and Spanish is an asset
- Sense of organization
- Ability to give clear instructions
- Reacts quickly to situations
- Ability to work under pressure
