Job Description:
JV Smith Companies is expanding their California operations and is looking for a Grower for one of their Salinas based farming companies.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversee all farming operations
- Currently 4,000 plus crop acres per year of conventional and organic vegetables.
Responsibilities include organizing and executing all growing functions, reporting directly to General Manager, to include but not limited to the following:
- Planting schedules
- Planting
- Seed selections
- Fertilizer and PCA management
- Hoeing and thinning crews
- Irrigation crews
- Cultivation actions
- Compliance and safety trainings
- Ranch and landlord maintenance requests by ranch
- Overall implantation of customer best practices and food safety requirements
- Future technological improvements including automatic thinning, GPS, etc.
- Prepare for future growth by recruiting and reviewing proper talent to support such growth.
Ideal Candidate:
- Ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture and a strong work ethic.
- Bilingual required.
- Background in ag and production farming preferred.
