The avocado division has experienced incredible growth over the last 18 months and grows avocados in Childers and the Atherton region, Queensland, and North New South Wales region of Australia.
We are seeking a Ripener to join our pack house team at Fishermans Reach in New South Wales. This region of New South Wales consists of coastal townships such as Port Macquarie, featuring the beauty of the beach and beautiful surrounds.
This role is responsible for the avocado ripening process. Specific focus is on customer service excellence, ensuring that in addition to meeting safety and operational expectations, customer needs are met for volume, quality and processes.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Ripening of avocados to customer expectations as per programmed orders/requirements

Management of prepack operations and orders to customer requirements

Develop a strategic partnership/relationship with customer and supplier for accurate supply of high quality product

Develop, implement and maintain ripening procedures

Develop, implement and maintain prepacking procedures

Create a culture of continuous improvement to develop operational efficiencies and factors that can benefit the supply chain and retail processes
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in ripening

Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Operating systems

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
