Global Organization is looking for a business partner to the Farming Director and Executive Committee in an organization that combines vertically integrated farming operations, trading and 3 pressing locations.
The Business Controller within the finance team will provide analytical support by monitoring performance and identifying areas to drive further optimization, business improvement and value capture. The role required a solid cost accounting background and will support management to perform effective financial planning and analysis, manage risk and transform disparate data into meaningful information that generate value to the business.
The role requires an enthusiastic hands-on and can-do individual, who enjoys supporting the development of new types of analysis by challenging the status quo and offering new ideas.

Partnering with the Business:
- Partner with the Management Team to develop analysis that lead to actionable insights that improve decision making and ultimately drive further optimization, business improvement and value capture.
- Identify analytical needs and transform disparate data from fragmented sources into meaningful information for business analysis. Translate financial metrics into key insight for strategic and operational decision making.
- Stakeholder management of external JV partners and internal functional leads. Coordination with the Trading Division.

Financial Controls & Reporting
- Custodian of cost accounting in farming operations and monitoring of inventory systems.
- Responsible for short monthly cycle close process and farm financial reporting.
- Responsible for grower accounting and grower contract management.
- Serve as the key contact for all farm related audits.

Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis.
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual profit. Prepare Cost projections and analysis. Analyze and report on current financial status.
- Be the focal point of the three-year business plan and the annual budget exercise. Link financial budgets with commercial and operational requirements.
- Provide real time analytical support to the business leads in the ever changing agricultural and trading environment.

Process Improvement:
- Enhance the analytical environment across the business.
- Collaborate with Finance Operations and Global Finance in order to synthesize supplementary or conflicting viewpoints and domains into coordinated processes that support the overall business strategy.

Ad-hoc Project Support:
- Prepare investment plans for Capex proposals.
- Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments.
- BA/BS in Business administration, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
- Professional qualification CPA, CIMA, ACCA etc.
- Masters degree or MBA.
- Candidates with international experience will be preferred.
- Experience with Sage X3 and Cognos BI and Controller.
- 7-10 years of experience with at least 3 years in a business partnering role.

Experience in the Agri-business, preferably in Farming Operations.Highly analytical. Able to link financials to performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive change.
- Cost accounting and inventory valuation experience .
- Excellent numerical and Excel skills.

Comfortable with financial systems and business support tools.

Ability to build relationships and influence people across all levels of organization and external business partners.
