Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Transportation Supervisor who will coordinate the transportation of all the deliveries and inbound shipments of all productions; will be responsible for the transportation and logistical requirements for movement of all products from this location throughout Florida/Southeast.

Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in transportation/fleet management in the perishable food/agriculture distribution industry
- Previous experience with inventory/freight systems
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and east coast traffic patterns
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Dispatching common carriers for deliveries
- Negotiating rates and delivery schedules
- Creating route plans with sales managers
- Setting appointments and assisting carriers when issues arise
- Monitoring rates/schedules/delivery and availability of trucks
Education:
- Degree in logistics, transportation or related field and/or a combination of education and related work
Skills:
- Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and vendor management
- Ability to perform basic cost/benefit analysis
- Solid PC skills in MS Office
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Sound judgment displaying willingness to make decisions
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (bi lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required)
- Strong demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an ever changing, fast paced environment
