Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base, fostering client relationships, and achieving sales targets in the competitive wholesale produce market.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Vancouver market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek opportunities for upselling.
Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Customer Engagement:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on our product offerings and educate clients on the quality and benefits of our produce.
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate customer feedback and product requirements.
Reporting:
- Generate regular sales reports, outlining performance against targets and key performance indicators.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales processes and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the wholesale produce or food industry.
- Strong understanding of the Vancouver market and the wholesale distribution landscape.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of fresh produce and the agriculture industry is an asset.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant work experience in the food industry is valuable and will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
