Job Description: 

Our Company is seeking a produce / lettuce plant Operations Manager. The plant Manger will be in charge of production and all aspects of daily plant operation. Ours is a new, modern vegetable processing plant located in the Asian Region.

We are an internationally known and respected company looking for a skilled, hardworking, experienced team member. The position will involve all aspects of produce processing, plant management and production. Our goal is to become the best produce supplier in Asia and this role will be key to that goal. 

This position will require a commitment to move overseas and be in charge of the facility.

This is a HIGH-PROFILE operations position and you MUST have recent and significant “hands-on” VEGETABLE processing management experience. This position requires significant skill and knowledge of vegetable processing and plant operations such as: vegetable processing equipment, water chillers, processing and packing lines, MAP technology, food safety guidelines, GMP’s, allergens, HACCP, sanitation and safety procedures.

Our ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of senior vegetable processing management experience in an operational role.

This is a “HANDS-ON” position and you will be making the decisions, running the facility and in-charge of production. No theories, only the reality of your own skills and labor.

YOU MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE OVERSEAS.

Requirements: 
  • An expert in processing of field products such as: carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, zucchini, asparagus, cucumbers, etc
  • Broad, in-depth understanding of the food processing industry, preferably with fresh pack experience
  • Understanding of MAP technology and equipment
  • Recent work experience as a plant Manager or Supervisor
  • Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, inventory and stewardship processes
  • You must be a fanatic regarding quality and food safety
  • HACCP training
  • Up-to-date on the industry and knowledgeable on current and developing industry trends
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • MANAGE AND SUPERVISE THE FRESH CUT PRODUCE LINES
  • Follow and train Food Safety, Food Security and Product Quality Standards
  • Maintain GMPs and Housekeeping at a superior level within the facility
  • Ensure proper processing of product by monitoring all aspects of the production line as well as equipment, cleanliness and personnel
  • Manage and direct the production employees and ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and performance standards are met
