Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of DUDA, established in 2006 to manage the company’s legacy fresh produce operations. Capitalizing on a tradition begun in 1926 of growing healthy fresh fruits and vegetables, Duda Farm Fresh Foods offers year-round availability of a wide range of products packed under the Dandy® brand. A full-service grower, packer, shipper, marketer, importer and exporter of farm fresh fruits and vegetables and fresh-cut vegetables, its operations are geographically diversified.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales at our Salinas, CA location. The Director of Sales is responsible for providing management leadership and oversight for our sales team. This includes implementation of short and long-term strategic plans for the sales team to achieve desired performance and optimal customer satisfaction. The Director of Sales is responsible for growing our revenues and margins across our portfolio or product offerings while executing on the company’s sales plan across our assigned channels. This is a results-driven position, driving growth with our sales organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBITLITIES

  • Sales Strategy – effectively communicate and align corporate strategy and vison with overall sales team vision and execution. This includes coordination of the go-to-market model, territory coverage strategies, evaluation and implementation of sales methodologies, identification of new market opportunities, analysis of sales metrics, and forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Monitoring the customers’ performance scorecard and work proactively to achieve excellence level in said scorecards.
  • Initiate and lead business review presentations externally with customers and internally with leadership.
  • Sales Excellence – develop sales enablement training programs for both product and sales methodology, provide training on the technology/market trends, develop sales mentoring programs, align best practices on guided selling, and establish accountability for delivering results.
  • Sale Organization – play a role in hiring, conducting performance reviews, developing sales territory strategies, developing compensation plans, and developing tools for effective communication.
  • Team Efficiency and Execution – develop tools for effective outbound communication, establish/refine processes.  
  • Business Analytics –Responsible for the developing, monitoring, measuring, and reporting agreed upon key performance metrics and work with the organization toward continual improvement of the results.
  • Communication and Coordination – Working closely with marketing and other sales channels to ensure seamless coordination of effort and strategy. Giving analysis and updates to senior management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in General Business, Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing or applicable field required or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • The most appropriate level of experience for this position is 7 to 10 years
  • Produce sales experience; experience with fresh-cut/value added sales with regional production preferred.
  • Prior management experience required

PAY RANGE INFORMATION
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $160,000 - $195,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
