Our operation encompasses over 5,000 acres of stone fruit and blueberries in central California as well as a combined 3,000 acres of blueberries in Mexico and Peru. Family Tree Farms is looking for an Accounting Intern for the 2020 spring semester. This position is located in Reedley, California and will be flexible around the incumbent’s class schedule. The Accounting Intern will assist team members on various tasks and projects related to multiple domestic and international agriculture operations. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in an agriculture based business.
- Spring 2020 with potential for a continued part time internship through the spring
- Hours will depend on class schedule, looking for up to 20 hours per week
- Must have valid driver’s license and be insured
- Assist with Income Statement & Balance Sheet Maintenance
- Assist with budgeting
- Assist in in-depth analysis of GL
- Accounting Software Analysis
- Data Analytics
- Auditing
- Student must be a junior or senior enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication skills and computer proficiency
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with peers and other functional groups as a team
- Confident verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external company
- Experience in agriculture is a plus but not required
