Job Description: 

The Field Fresh Farms Sales Team currently has an opening for a Produce Sales Representative.

The main objective for the Produce Sales Representative position is to continue the Team’s working relationships with new and existing customers by providing excellent customer service by meeting the needs and concerns of customers. Candidates will partner with management and inside sales reps to help resolve customer questions and complaints. The position will require excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze complex problems, and the capability to detect areas of inefficiency for continuous improvement efforts. The right candidate must be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

Field Fresh Farms, LLC is owned and operated by several generations of family members who have lived and farmed along California’s central coast for well over 50 years. It’s a Grower, Shipper, Packer of conventional and organic produce that is delivered nationwide.

Requirements: 
  • At least two years of sales experience in the produce industry.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must able to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally. Willing to make “cold calls”.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail, wholesale and produce industries.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible days/hours (M-F and Sat AM Hours)
  • Knowledge of Computer Information Systems preferred: Famous Software and I-Trade Network
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Service existing accounts and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Successfully promote a customer-focused work ethic in tune with the company's core values and principles.
  • Effective account management including: profitable sales; customer service; price and volume management (market, ad/lid, and contracts, open); price and volume forecasting; reporting and performance review/monitoring.
  • Data entry of daily invoicing and reporting
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base.
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support.
  • Provide daily marketing support to establish and increase new customer accounts.
  • Identify and target new business development.
