We are seeking a Food Safety Specialist with knowledge of food safety in the produce industry to work on our corporate food safety team. The position includes food safety duties, document control, and working with our divisions, customers, and growers. This position will work out of our facilities in Long Beach, CA.
This position will work with our Food Safety team and oversee the implementation of the requirements, policies, procedures, programs and training components of the Food Safety system. This position serves as the lead for product recall communications, regulatory inspections, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) audits, and for interaction with customers on Food Safety related issues. Training on our procedures and protocols will be given.

- Food safety training and education
- Spanish language skills
- Organic experience
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and customers.
- Must be able to travel seasonally and flexible with work schedule.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Communicate effectively (verbally and written)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Position will have a salary of up to $75K Annually (DOE).
