Gless Ranch is one of California's largest and oldest citrus farms and is looking for a leader to assist with its Riverside County farming team.
Gless Ranch is looking for a Farm Supervisor to oversee its Coachella Valley operation, which includes Navel and Valencia Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit, Clementines, Mandarins and Dates.
Job Description
- Planning and coordinating activities pertaining to the production of citrus in Riverside County, with a focus on the Coachella Valley for approximately 2,000 acres.
- Day to day duties including supervision of employees and advisement as to pest control, weed control, irrigation, pruning, frost protection and harvesting.
Qualifications
- Able to give direction, display leadership, provide training and guidance and promote teamwork within the labor force and other departments of the Company.
- Able to form relationships with outside packing houses and vendors to form a cohesive relationship within the Company's industry partners.
- A degree in agricultural studies or five years’ experience in the citrus industry.
Compensation
- Competitive salary, health benefits, optional 401k, use of company vehicle and a competitive salary with option for growth.
