Job Description:
The Harvest Coordinator is the communication hub regarding product harvest, receiving and sales. The Harvest Coordinator must live the inventory and constantly keep everyone in the communication loop of what’s happening with today’s harvest.
This position requires that the candidate work Monday through Friday and occasionally on Saturdays. Normal hours are 6:00am to 3:00pm with a 1 hour lunch.
The Harvest Coordinator is under the direct supervision of the Sales Manager.
During the winter season (mid-November through mid-April) the Harvest Coordinator relocates to Holtville, CA. Housing in the Holtville area is paid by the company or a per diem is paid.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep active open communication with Sales, Harvest, Cooler and Operation Manager
- Every time there is a change from one department it must be passed on to the other depts
- Entering estimates into Famous daily and updating these for the board (projector) every morning and throughout the day
- Printing pick tickets for cross docs and orders requiring Phyto or Snail certificates and sending scanned copies of these to the appropriate sales people as well as delivering them to shipping
- Update daily Harvest sheet and update ranch and blocks at least on Wed. and Fri.
- Confirm inventory numbers at the end of the day with the Harvest Manager
- Shares the responsibility of Receiving and Shipping product at the Holtville cooler
- Other duties as assigned
Job Tasks:
- Print out “Watsonville inventory” (and a blank 2 week Estimate sheet as needed)
- Enter Estimates from harvest sheet into Famous.
- Recap harvest sheet with inventory to make any adjustments before sending to Green Valley.
- Fax Harvest sheet, Watsonville Inventory, (2 week Estimate on Fridays) to Green Valley so they can review and make any adjustments as to what they can harvest in the field.
- Copy estimates from harvest sheet to the board/projector
- Print out pick tickets of cross docks to make pallet tags.
- Receive revised harvest sheet from Dickey and Jorge. Make changes on board, harvest sheet and in Famous. Send revised sheet to distribution list.
- Retype harvest sheet with adjustments to take down to receiving for any ranch and block changes.
- Every Wednesday and Friday check for updates to Ranches and Blocks on Daily Harvest Sheet, make changes as needed.
- Throughout the day keep in contact with Jorge, Joe, Pedro and Dickey regarding any changes to the daily estimates including blocks when available.
- Distribute ALL information between Sales, Shipping and the Field. Harvest Coordinator is the information hub between these 3 departments and must notify everyone whenever estimates change.
- Print out pick tickets of orders that will require a “Phyto” or Snail.
- Process the “Phytos” in the PCIT system.
- Continue looking at inventory for any shortage or any large numbers for the future.
- Fax over pick tickets of orders that require a “Snail” to Ag. Dep.
- Call Jorge for more information on making number on the harvest for the day.
- Receive signed “Phytos” and “snails” to scan and send to the salesmen and buyer a scanned copy. Then take to shipping office so they can give it to the driver that will pick up that order.
- Create harvest sheet for the following day.
- Call the required foremen (Josh, Jorge, Pablo) to give them any specials for the next day.
- Send harvest sheet on distribution list to review harvest, ranch and blocks.
- Give Jorge a call to confirm inventory numbers at the end of the day.
- On Friday make sure to confirm all orders loading on Saturday are filled and covered.
- For the winter season the harvest info is also communicated with Manuel Ochoa, Scott Howington Pablo Orozco and the QC for the Holtville crops.
