The Farmstand Inventory Clerk is responsible for supporting the Assistant Store Manager in the replenishment and display of inventory as well as engaging with customers to provide the highest level of customer service. Maintenance and execution of product displays and preparation is required. Development of product knowledge, use and location is key in optimizing the Farmstand shopping experience for the customer. Communication with both the Assistant Store Manager and the Director of Farmstand Operations related to inventory and customer inquires is needed to ensure inventory levels are accurately maintained and displays are efficiently restocked.

  • Engage with customers by greeting, acknowledging, and offering product recommendations based on strong product and property knowledge
  • Communicate with team members based on customer inquiries in order to provide outstanding customer service
  • Assist with the movement of Farmstand inventory through restocking, floor moves, and display maintenance
  • Complete the preparation of in-store developed products in support of the Assistant Store Manager, following all internal and externally regulated preparation and sanitation methods
  • Perform other general maintenance tasks including product maintenance, preparation and Farmstand housekeeping including cart retrieval, sweeping, and cleaning as needed
  • Effectively conduct all activities related to cashiering including the activation, counting, and balancing of POS drawer to maintain proper cash and accurate POS transactions
  • Utilize POS system to verify customer information, look up items and add new rewards members
  • Maintain and communicate knowledge of Farmstand sales and mark down methods to customers to generate sales
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures to accurately and efficiently price merchandise

2+ years of progressive experience in the grocery or produce industry required. Previous experience utilizing a POS system preferred but not required. Serv Safe and CPR certification preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to offer excellent customer service skills, and strong verbal communication skills.
