We now have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager to join our team and lead our Human Resources department.
The Human Resources Manager is a member of the senior management team and is responsible for planning, managing, implementing human resource policies, programs and practices. This role will provide site-level leadership to a team of HR professionals and support to multi locations. Will be responsible for keeping the leadership team well-informed on all human resources issues with broad and current subject matter knowledge that includes expertise in local, state and federal regulations and support the organization to drive operational change and optimal business results.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Agile leader, able to travel to multiple locations
- Ability to work remotely and on site as required
- Must have seven years of progressive experience in human resources, preferably in an agricultural environment and managing a team of HR professionals
- Multi-state wage and hour law knowledge including local, federal and state employment regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong written and oral communication required to a diverse audience
- Must be able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with all levels of the workforce and across the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems (i.e. ADP, Kronos, etc.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage HR related activities, including payroll, benefits, compensation, training, recruitment, workers’ compensation claims and system(s) integrity
- Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, evaluating employee relations, human resources policies, programs, and practices
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring, implementing local, federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings
- Collaborates with senior management to craft consistent, equitable and competitive compensation of all employee offerings
- Ensures all work-related injury documentation is completed, reviewed and submitted to workers’ compensation carrier, tracks injuries, oversees light duty program, OSHA 300 log and postings are up to date
- Participates in planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors
- Act as employee advocate to ensure adequate representation and timely resolution of employee issues
- Analyze and compile reporting related to all aspects of employment, to include federal required EEO, Vets 100, and agency requests
- Responsible for all year-end reconciliations and reporting of annual forms: W2’s & ACA
- Manage all aspects of recruitment process, to include seasonal staffing, and sourcing temp agencies to support staffing needs
- Prepares for all annual audits: 401k, worker’s compensation, financial audits including impromptu audits
- Maintains the organization and workforce structure by updating job descriptions and systems
- Works collaboratively and cross functionally on all employee related matters and labor costs
- Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Provide development and succession planning to the Human Resources team
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with third party vendors
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
