The Gotelli family emigrated from Italy in the early 1900's to settle and plant cherries along the Calaveras River in California. We have an immediate opportunity for a Plant and Food Safety Manager to join our team in Stockton, CA.
The Plant and Food Safety Manager will be responsible for managing performance plans/reviews, work schedules and assignments of other food safety, plant safety and cleaning staff members. They will guide and oversee implementation of our food safety programs at our facility. Maintain safety compliance within CalOSHA and liaison with government agencies such as CalOSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA, SJCPHD, plus other 3rd party auditing entities.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be PCQI and HACCP certified.
- Must also have OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience working with or knowledge of CalOSHA and Workers’ Compensation; with prior experience in the food industry a plus.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to anticipate needs, forecast conditions, set goals/standards and measure results.
- Bilingual, preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
