We are currently looking for a Broker Assistant to join our team in Visalia, CA.

As a Broker Assistant you are responsible for supporting a high volume freight broker in the day-to-day sales and logistics tasks. You will learn the ins and outs of our company and help support our business growth. This an amazing opportunity for career growth.

Requirements: 
  • Experience in logistics preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent operational, business development, and sales skills
  • Ability to think critically with strong analytical and problem solving skills is a must
  • Ability to focus in a stimulating and hectic environment
  • Highly organized and personable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer and math skills
 
This full-time position’s work hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, some Saturdays 8 a.m. until noon. Night call Monday through Thursday, occasional weekend call hours.  We offer a competitive base salary with a bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Create purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices
  • Create cost sheets
  • Update Excel databases
  • Follow-up on orders placed
  • Proofing of documents
  • Answering phone and emails
  • Calling customers and vendors
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Accounts payable tracking
  • Special projects assigned by the manager
