The Grower Manager will partner with the current team members to efficiently and effectively produce quality product through innovation and proper cultural practices.

- BS in Horticulture or related field and at least five years experience in horticultural production.
- Current State pesticide license, or willingness to obtain State pesticide license.
- Ability to interact and communicate with others and develop a team approach; appreciation of environmental factors as they relate to plant growth and development; self-motivation; logical thought and reasoning ability for problem-solving; computer literate; must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Clean criminal history and drug free
- Current first aid/CPR certification, or ability and willingness to obtain one
- Good interpersonal communication, able to work well with others
- Manufacturing aptitude, Must be able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work nights and/or weekends, hours will change based on business needs
- Must be in good physical condition and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
- Ability to demonstrate high ethical standards
- Possess strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have in depth understanding of greenhouse operations, quality and productivity
- Able to work indoors, outdoors, in warehouse or greenhouse all seasons
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Self motivated and goal oriented
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
- Ability to tolerate exposure to greenhouse elements such as heat, cold, water and dirt.

- Monitor crop development as per customer specifications, speaking to customers as needed on crop progress..
- Monitor crop height weekly. Monitor greenhouse temperatures.
- Regularly walk crops scouting for diseases/pests and any other possible condition requiring attention.
- Assist in irrigation/fertilization training and scheduling
- General lab work including the monitoring of irrigation water quality on a daily basis.
- Work closely with growing staff and facility management to ensure crop quality and timely shipping
- Assist production supervisor/maintenance staff by informing them of areas/equipment requiring specific attention.
- Understand the use of soil mixing and seed line equipment to ensure correct and accurate seeding.
