We have an immediate opportunity for a Router/Dispatcher to join our team in Garland, TX.
The Router/Dispatcher will manage all transportation and logistical requirements of our customers and drivers. Provide leadership for the functions of assigning drivers to routes, keeping track of their progress, and maintaining open and honest communication with our customers. Ensure drivers have all the pertinent information related to their runs and that they carry out their assignments timely and professionally. Remain calm and courteous in all situations. Communicate effectively and as often as needed to perform the duties required. Actively call on new and existing customers to seek ways to increase the Company’s revenue and profitability. Maintain and grow relationships with customers. Be able to multi-task various objectives at all times. The nature of our business requires a certain amount of flexibility outside of normal business hours to answer calls and respond to requests due to the requirements of our drivers (vendors) and customers.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- HS diploma
- Experience with Omnitracs/Roadnet Anywhere routing software a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience,
- Previous experience in operations or other related fields
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Effective written and verbal communication
- WMS experience
