RESPONSIBILITIES:
FSQA Operations
- 
Drive the establishment and implementation of produce quality and safety standards and procedures within Row 7’s Quality Assurance Program–including defining product specifications, directing HACCP and GMP protocols, establishing product traceability 
- 
Provide clear and comprehensive FSQA documentation to Grower Relations Managers and Produce Inspectors to guarantee the delivery of outstanding produce 
- 
Maintain records of sampling, testing, and compliance with specifications 
- 
Develop and apply ongoing improvement initiatives related to produce sanitation, safety, and quality 
- 
Assure compliance with GMPs, written SOPs, and SSOPs throughout Row 7’s produce operations 
- 
Direct and report results of all required quality assurance testing 
- 
Key contact for 3rd party auditor during annual Organic Compliance lot traceability and audit 
- Quality and Safety Oversight
- 
Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors 
- 
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding food safety and quality, including FDA, USDA, and health department standards 
- 
Participate in produce recalls. Maintains procedures and documentation for produce recalls and tracking 
- 
Administer and sustain Row 7’s Organic Certification Program 
- 
Collaborate with grower partners, external vendors, and team members to ensure packaging and marketing content meet regulatory requirements 
 Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- 
Provide guidance and recommendations to internal team members on quality and safety-related issues 
- 
Support Grower Relations Managers in the onboarding process of new Growers and Packers, including reviewing required documentation, visiting sites, and providing QC training as needed 
- 
Continually develop and update knowledge of Food Safety legislation and best practices 
- 
Create and maintain training programs for team members and grower partners on food safety and quality practices 
 REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 
4+ years managing within organic farming and produce environments 
- 
Demonstrated expertise in FSQA best practices 
- 
Trained in USDA NOP Regulations, FSMA Produce Safety Rule and GAP Produce Safety Requirements 
- 
Strong HACCP and/or PCQI experience and knowledge 
- 
Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline (equivalent work experience will be considered) 
- 
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace 
- 
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills 
- 
Experience working in agriculture, fresh produce supply chain, or retail space is a plus 
- 
Ability to lift 50 pounds, traverse uneven surfaces, and work in refrigerated spaces 
- 
Conversational Spanish language skills preferred
