JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance operations of the Sun Pacific Euclid Packing House equipment and refrigeration system. This includes maintaining all structures and grounds to an acceptable level, such as building conditions, packing equipment, property aesthetics, landscaping, office spaces, and HVAC equipment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP. The Maintenance Manager, will directly report to and work under the supervision and direction of the Plant Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. The essential job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and manage all maintenance and refrigeration activities for SP Euclid;
- Troubleshoot refrigeration systems;
- Maintaining facility lighting system;
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and electrical equipment;
- Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment to ensure high productivity levels;
- Repair and maintain conveyors, belts, chains, motors, heavy equipment, fixtures, hoists, cranes, and plumbing;
- Fabrication and management new equipment installations;
- Procurement and recommendation of materials and equipment required for facility maintenance as approved by management;
- Maintain safety and security programs and services for the site;
- Testing, reporting, and recordkeeping status of electric solenoids, emergency ammonia dump systems, and all other refrigeration programs as required;
- Maintain water systems, which include on site-water wells and waste water ponds (maintaining proper levels and performing all required sampling and reporting/recordkeeping);
- Maintain workplace safety and environmental compliance in coordination with safety manager, management, and all applicable local, state, and federal agencies;
- Maintain facility and surrounding property to a clean and sanitary standard in order to meet food safety requirements and Company expectations; and,
- Performing all other duties, assignments, and projects as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIIES.
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration;
- Experience in troubleshooting PLC controllers (input/output cards and HMI interfaces);
- Experience in operating and repairing refrigeration condensers and defrost systems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel;
- Ability to lead and train a staff of mechanics and technicians;
- Ability to effectively communicate with plant and corporate management about the condition and needs of facility maintenance;
- Certifications are a plus;
- Knowledge of PSM/Cal-ARP, HACCP, food safety, and related;
- Knowledge in refrigeration and electrical systems;
- Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration cycles;
- Ability to effectively train, develop and lead employees to perform successfully;
- Ability to be a self-starter and cost-effective/budget focused;
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and have excellent communication skills;
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks;
- Ability to maintain good house cleaning within the department; and,
- Ability to work in, extensive hours, weekends, and be very flexible to compliment operations for continued success.
COMPENSATION.
• Annual compensation offered is $70,000 - $80,000.
