Job Description: 

Blue Banner Co. has been in the citrus industry for 75 years, specializing in packaging high-quality conventional citrus fruit. Alongside our organic packing house, National Organic Packing Co., we are poised for significant growth and are looking to expanding our reach to national and regional retail chains. Our goal is to build strong relationships with major retailers like Albertson’s, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Sam’s Club, and Costco to drive citrus sales and maximize grower returns.

Summary:
The sales coordinator plays a key role in supporting the sales department by managing customer accounts, coordinating daily order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy of documents, and maintaining strong communication between growers, buyers, logistics providers, and internal departments. This position is essential to the smooth execution of sales operations and helps Blue Banner Co. deliver fresh, high-quality citrus products efficiently to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and confirm customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with production, shipping, and teams to ensure on-time fulfillment.
  • Track and monitor order status, resolving discrepancies quickly. onships with major retail chains, wholesalers, and food service distributors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, and order status.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts and assist the sales team with new business opportunities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and account activity summaries.
  • Assist Sales Manager with pricing sheets, contracts, and promotional programs.
  • Maintain accurate sales records in systems.
  • Prepare and verify invoices, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Support the sales team with scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain organized files of customer accounts, sales agreements, and shipping documentation.
  • Assist with seasonal programs, special projects, and other tasks as needed.

Organizational Relationships:
Position reports to: Blue Banner Co. Sales Manager

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum 2+ years in Produce industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills and experience.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to analyze market data, forecast demand, and develop growth strategies.
  • Experience with Famous Software is desirable.
  • Outgoing Personality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Experience in both organic and conventional citrus products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during citrus season peaks.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent use of computer, phone, and office equipment.
  • Capability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds in an office setting.

Work environment:

  • Work is primarily on-site. Occasionally the individual will travel locally.
  • Office environment within a citrus packing facility.
  • Interaction with packing house, production, and logistics staff.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven, especially during peak citrus season.
