SunSelect Produce in Tehachapi, California is a year round production and packing facility of Greenhouse Vegetables.
SunSelect is a progressive family operated greenhouse company with locations in British Columbia and California. We produce some of the best greenhouse grown bell peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers in the world. Our newly built, state of the art 64-acre hydroponic greenhouse located in Tehachapi, CA is in the forefront of agriculture technology.
We are currently seeking a career focused Office Manager who is a go-getter and willing to learn, train and lead. You must have at minimum 5 years’ experience in a progressive private company. You will have a staff of 4-6 assistants to lead and direct in all Administrative, Human Resource and Regulatory Compliance requirements.
Candidate must be focused, detail oriented and extremely well organized to handle this fast paced environment and direct your team under the leadership of the VP of Administration, VP of Operations Assistant, and Human Resources.
Training, accounting, regulatory compliance, human resource, and Spanish language skills are all assets that will serve you well in this position.
- 3-5 years’ experience as an Office Manager or Human Resources, preferably in the produce industry
- Must have proven successful management and leadership skills
- Ability to analyzing information and pay keen attention to detail
- Experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems
- Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communications skills
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, data bases, and information systems.
- Experience working in an office environment and supporting teams on projects
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Spanish language skills an asset
- Supervise and direct support staff teams, being able to motivate, discipline and resolve conflicts on a regular basis
- Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
- Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of accounting reporting, techniques and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
