Job Description: 

Russ Davis Wholesale, an employee-owned, 60+ year old company has immediate opening for a Marketing Manager in either our Eagan or Inver Grove Heights, MN facility. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s marketing initiatives (graphic look of brands, logos, company sales materials, market trade event material, social media, websites and communication tools). Use market research and analysis to direct marketing strategy and planning. Effectively develop, mentor and supervise the company’s marketing staff members.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies.
  • Technical marketing skills, digital marketing skills.
  • Experience with relevant software applications.
  • Proven experience in customer and market research.
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge, a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Formal presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and proven time management skills.
  • Displays a high level of integrity, adaptability and creativeness.
  • Must be able to pass a background, drug and back screen.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Interviews, hires and develops marketing staff members.
  • Establishes marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts.
  • Oversees current offerings and comes up with initiates for new products or services.
  • Maintains and manages brand strategy and integrity to approved style guide and company direction and plan.
  • Researches and analyses market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
  • Works with marketing staff to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels and sales teams.
  • Approves and oversees the creative development of promotional materials, market trade events, website content, social media platforms, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects.
  • Communicates with various media buyers, advertising agencies, printers, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition.
  • Provides in-depth information to interested clients, and acts as a representative for the marketing department to important buyer meetings.
  • Works within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service.
  • Tracks all marketing and sales data and creates detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to senior executives.
  • Adjusts marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback.
  • Special project assignments as directed by management.
