Job Description:
Coast Produce Company is currently looking for a fruits, vegetable, and floral quality control (QC) inspector to join our team based in Los Angeles, CA.

Requirements:
- Previous experience carrying out the duties and responsibilities of an inspector is preferable, but on-the-job training can be provided.
- A keen attention to detail is central to the job in order to detect defects that could be easily missed by the consumer but still present a safety risk, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively when reporting issues and defects is necessary.
- Experience with measuring tools such as refractometers / brix meters is required as well, and knowledge with Produce Pro programming is a plus.
- Hours will vary, but an inspector can plan on working a set schedule that could be on the first, second, or third shift in our refrigerated warehouse.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- The ideal candidate will be responsible to inspect, test, and sample product for defects and any deviations from our company food safety needs.
- The inspector will discard any produce or floral items that do not meet with company standards.
- The inspector will discuss results and findings with those in charge of the products, and recommend any required corrective actions.
