Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to understand the effects of the QC on the grower side; be able to analyze the data; understand the decision making process; notifying the grower and/or vendor along with internal customers. To be able to pick tasks when the Interdepartmental and Grower Liaison is unavailable. To take on other duties assigned by the QA/QC and Notifications Department.

PC skills: knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Lotus Notes and the internet with quick and accurate typing skills

Ability to work independently with minimal direction, strong written/verbal communication skills, good grammar, strong organization skills and attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask

Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, while demonstrating a positive, professional attitude

Understanding of the quality control process and reports

Understanding of the USDA guidelines as to quality of berries and transportation of berries
Responsibilities & Duties:

Analyze and review pack outs that are out if tolerance and communicate deficiency to growers

Investigate, review and communicate customer and/or quality rejection with the growers and internal departments that are involved

Analyze and help build quality data and reports trends, statistics and issues to internal departments as well as growers

Coordinate import grower international transportation claims

Liaise between multiple departments by gathering information to resolve issues that arise and communicate resolutions back correspondingly (Carrier Claims, USDA fruit issues)

Provide support to the accounting department as it relates to grower charges being passed to the grower

Help coordinate the preparations for the growers and customer facility visits

Work with Cooler Operations with process of inventory and communication of aged inventory

Coordinate and help resolve grower related issues
