We are seeking a full-time Food Safety Manager to join our growing company in Orondo, WA.
As a key member of the Food Safety Team, you will be responsible for monitoring and executing safety needs at the orchard and warehouse levels. This position uses training in HACCP, FSMA, SQF, OSHA and LI practices, to monitor, adapt protocols and ensure clear, informative communication to the Food Safety team and the company.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate staff and management to ensure that controls, investigations, inspections, and documentation are being completed timely and accurately.
- Perform safety meetings/trainings and spot inspections in the orchards and warehouse while employees are working.
- Coach employees, crew bosses, and managers as necessary.
- Maintain communication with supervisors to ensure clarity of intent and clarity of desired outcomes.
- Prepare, distribute and/or post all safety notices, manuals, informational sheets, records, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility
- The Food Safety Manager supervises a full-time Food Safety Specialist.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma OR GED
- 1-2 years relevant experience in both Food Safety and Occupational Safety
- HACCP certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Must be able to read, speak, and comprehend English
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Travel: This position may require up to 20% travel. Most travel is within the local area and does not require overnight stays. Occasionally, travel outside the local area and overnight stays will be required.
