From the smallest overnight package of a single pound of product, to commercial air containers or trucks filled with pallets of mixed commodities-we are feeding the world.

We are looking to add Drivers to our team in Los Angeles, CA. 

This candidate’s overall goal is to efficiently deliver produce to customers, follow driver safety rules and provide professional customer service. This person will be responsible for the transport and delivery of products. You will also assist in the warehouse loading trucks, palletizing products, pulling orders and performing other duties at the request of the Supervisor or Manager. The ideal candidate will strive to exceed customer expectations with timely and efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations (if a Class A driver), to transport and deliver products
  • Perform inspections on trucks before loading goods
  • Report any equipment in the truck inoperable or missing
  • Monitor loading and unloading of goods
  • Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions
  • Ensure that cargo is well secured
  • Pickup and deliver goods as required
  • Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatch or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to a new location
  • Assist warehouse staff as required
  • Clean trucks daily as required
  • Maintain a log of their activities, condition of the vehicle and any cases of accidents, document and report the facts
  • At the end of shift handover records of deliveries, pick-ups, daily reports, mechanical problems, etc
  • Perform other duties requested by the Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of verifiable driving experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish desirable
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic 26 ft delivery trucks
  • Class A/B/C License 
  • Must be able to read and speak English well enough to read road signs, prepare reports, and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public.
  • Able to stand and sit for long periods of time and able to perform lifting, loading and unloading.
  • Posses statistical and analytical knowledge using general business and mathematical skills.
