Job Description:

Church Brothers, a family operated company and one of North America’s leading grower shippers is seeking a career minded individual to begin a career in this exciting, high demand field as a Food Safety Specialist in Salinas, CA.
As the Food Safety Specialist, you are responsible for managing inventories, and properly storing all records in a way that is easily accessible when needed.

Requirements:
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and the Leafy Greens Marketing Agreements (LGMA) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Proficient in Excel and MS Word products.
- Able to work in a respectful and professional manner with all levels of employees.
- Ability to project and explain the consequences of actions taken.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work onsite and meet position’s attendance and output schedule, as required by the job.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Collection & review of grower food safety documentation (ex. Pre-season documentation review, monthly water test results, etc.)
- Maintenance of food safety records & reporting databases such as Excel spreadsheet, iCiX, CB food safety website, etc.
- Works in team environment - Job requires interaction with internal employees, grower representatives, customers, etc.
- Attention to detail & ability to organize job functions dependent on specific timelines (ex. Collection/review of monthly water test results, annual audits, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
