A well-established and aggressively growing importer/distributor of fresh fruit in North America is searching for a well-connected Sales Representative to help grow their retail chain business in the Eastern US. - Sell and service all products on a regular basis to retail, wholesale, food service and process customers.
- Manage customers, including follow-up management of problem sales and rejections.
- Establish seasonal programs with customers on all products.
- Expand distribution of existing products by identifying and opening up business with new customers.
- Act as Category Leader for one or more commodities.
- Train and mentor existing junior sales staff.
- At least two years of fruit sales experience (citrus preferred) with a high level of retail experience and contacts.
- A deep understanding of the US retail fresh produce sector.
- Energetic with excellent salesmanship skills, applied confidently and creatively.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to make logical, clear and compelling presentations.
