Job Description:
As the Food Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the Food Safety team, providing daily direction and guidance.
- Stay informed about State/Federal requirements (FDA, USDA, CDHS, NOP, etc.) and implement pest control measures. Ensure completion and filing of all mandatory reports and documentation.
- Coordinate and actively participate in Ranch audits.
- Audit various elements of the Food Safety program for effectiveness, identifying issues, and developing corrective action plans.
- Conduct and document all Food Safety related trainings on an ongoing basis.
- Schedule and execute all food safety tests and inspections.
- Supervise Pre-Harvest inspections.
- Investigate all instances of Food Safety reports; recommend and/or coordinate corrective measures.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety, with comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GAP, GMP, USDA, FDA, GFSI, and Primus standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Capacity to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
- Adaptability and willingness to navigate evolving priorities.
- Sound judgment with the ability to make timely decisions.
- Familiarity with all facets of agricultural procedures and positions.
- Possession of a valid CA Class C driver’s license and insurability.
- Availability to visit job sites located in California/Arizona during winter months.
