Our rapidly expanding company is looking to add an experienced Food Service Sales Representative to our team in Santa Barbara, CA.
As a Food Service Sales Representative you will be responsible for representing our produce products and servicing existing accounts as well as developing new business in the food service sector. You are also responsible for telephone sales, electronic sales, and in-person sales, along with delivering presentations to further sales in our food service sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of three years of sales (foodservice industry preferred) or culinary/restaurant management experience required.
- Excellent negotiation skills.

- Customer service and presentation skills.
- Ability to use analytical thinking to solve problems.
- Must have proficient computer skills; will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office products.

- Lead the selling of produce to the food service sector.
- Maintain existing customers and maximize profitable sales.
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales with current customers.
- Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accurately monthly.
- Review daily sales reports.
- Review monthly sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
- Coordinate sales with production department to ensure demand is met.
- Communicate trends, pricing issues and other unique issues to management, as it relates to sales.
- Work closely with local brokers and distributors on developing new business and promoting the company’s product lines.
- Participate in marketing events, such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
- Analyze territory and monitoring performance results, daily call reports and weekly work plans.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, and maintaining sales records thru CRM programs.
