We are seeking a Sales / Account Manager to join our team in McAllen, TX.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage sales strategies to increase our presence with retail chains and independent grocers throughout the country.
- Build and maintain strong, longterm relationships with buyers, category managers, and distributors.
- Identify new business opportunities in the region and work closely with our operations and logistics teams to meet client needs.
- Stay up to date on produce trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies to position EXP competitively.
- Track sales metrics, provide accurate forecasts, and prepare regular performance reports.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to promote our product lines and strengthen brand recognition.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 5+ years of proven sales experience in the produce industry, food distribution, or related perishable goods sectors.
- Understanding of retail produce buying cycles, quality standards, and seasonal supply dynamics.
- Based in Texas with the ability to travel throughout the region.
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Familiarity with retail supply chains, packing/repacking, and inventory planning.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and sales reporting.
- Entrepreneurial, results oriented, and passionate about fresh produce and the retail market.
- Produce Procurement / Sourcing experience is a plus.
- Experience using Famous Software is a plus.
