Job Description: 

Forever Fresh LLC is a grower-owned, vertically integrated, fresh fruit sales and marketing company that focuses on Chilean and Peruvian products including stonefruit, cherries, grapes, apples, kiwi, citrus and more.

That vertical integration comes directly from our growers: Verfrut, San Francisco Lo Garces and Provex, with operations in Peru and Chile.

We are seeking an Operations Coordinator in Kennett Square, PA.

To support the needs of our Grower/Suppliers and Customers, the Operations Coordinator supports the activities of supply chain logistics, port operations, and inland distribution. These responsibilities require planning, the ability to be flexible, and the ability to multi-task with an emphasis on teamwork, decision making, communication, organization, and on-point attention to detail. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

External responsibilities of this position are to coordinate the activities of the Operations Department, while working with Customs Brokers, Federal and State Regulatory Agencies, and Port Operators throughout the East Coast, West Coast, and Southeast. Internally this position works closely with the Sales and QC / QA teams, as needed responses to Accounting (AP)

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking forecasted shipment arrival and for-marketing product availability
  • Dray coordination
  • Inventory control and maintenance
  • Cargo Claims: survey coordination, file and inventory maintenance
  • Receiving & Shipping process coordination and reconciliation
  • Repack and Value-Add process and program support
  • Provide support to Sales, QC, QA, and AP
  • Recognize and develop relationships with all service providers and customer/buyer representatives

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of import requirements for regulatory agencies: US Customs, USDA, PPQ, CBP, and FDA
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards based on FSMA
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel applications and computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Time Management and Organizational skills
  • Computer requirements to confidently operate a main frame program (Prophet)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to adapt and function effectively in a face-paced and at times stressful environment

Education / Experience/ Certifications:

  • BA or equivalent degree college degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Logistics, Inventory, or Warehouse Operations (preferred)
  • Mandatory TWIC card or credentials to obtain a TWIC card 

Travel:

  • Ability to privately travel to office, port, and warehouse locations

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Works in an office environment that requires sitting, standing, and walking, phone and computer communications. Must be able to lift from 10 to 40 lb cartons as needed.
