Job Description:
Primary responsibility is to service member packinghouses and support sales growth of machinery, equipment, containers, shipping, and packinghouse, and grower supplies, among other things, sold by the Company and its Operations Centers.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Routinely makes outside (in person) sales calls to member packinghouses by following an established sales route within District’s 1, 2 and 3, and in doing so spends well over 50% of his/her work time in the field engaged in sales-related activities.
- Must be capable of learning, understanding and communicating the Company and Operations Centers’ product lines as they exist and evolve.
- Structures and schedules all customer accounts, geographically and volumetrically, as aligned with input from General Manager and Sales Director.
- Align with member packinghouse management team, to obtain timing and detail of packinghouses’ budgeting process, capital planning, anticipated purchases, business expansions, and sales growth, among other factors.
- Maintains a customer database; profile, forecast, sales trends, and purchasing history, among other things.
- Updates customer profile details to sales pipeline tool for consistent evaluation purposes.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records (make, model, serial #, etc.) of all packinghouse equipment purchased through FGS, including packinghouse machinery and plastic bins, warranty services, recycle program and sourcing of consumable supplies.
- Responsible for processing quotations, sales orders and purchase orders in SAP for the respective Operations Centers.
- Collaborates with the management teams of Operations Centers, Packing Services, Carton Plant and Pallet Plant in an effort to ensure packinghouse expectations are met.
- Responds to and reports on packinghouse issues with the respective Company business units or product manufacturer with a high sense of urgency.
- Has a general understanding of all Company business units and serves as a facilitator to coordinate expert interface in problem solving.
- Must be self-motivated, work independently and be able to deliver solutions to solve customer issues.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately both verbally and in writing.
- Will serve as an ambassador the Company’s member packinghouse representing it in a positive and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in Agriculture, Business or a related field and/or ten years related work experience in Agricultural Sales/Customer Service.
- Must have excellent Customer Service and Inter-personal skills and be able to deal with individuals in a positive and professional manner.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to travel overnight.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Power Point.
- A valid, unrestricted CA driver’s license.
- Proof of American citizenship and/or legal US work status.
