We are offering a tremendous opportunity for a Grower and Field Operations Manager to join our team in Reedley, CA.
The Grower & Field Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day field and packing operations for the company, ensuring brand quality is maintained at all levels of the supply chain. Working with the Director of Supply Chain, the position will make sure Fruit World is achieving our long-term supply goals and the sales team has up-to-date information, ensuring our customers are getting the highest level of service. The Grower & Field Operations Manager will work primarily with the Director of Supply Chain, but we are a small and nimble team, each wearing multiple hats, so there will be lots of interaction with the entire team. The role will include managing some sales accounts.
This position requires a minimum of 8 years experience working in the agriculture field or packing house operations, with citrus experience strongly preferred. The selected candidate will have strong relationships with growers and packing houses, coupled with a passion for quality. Knowledge and/or experience working with organic crops is a plus.
The position requires regular work in the field, away from the Fruit World office. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Work hours normally include early mornings.
Must have a demonstrated history of excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers and related software (Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc). Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English), but not required. Ability to travel within California, a valid current drivers license and an ongoing satisfactory driving record is required.
