WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a Vice President of Marketing that can successfully direct and oversee Grimmway Farms Marketing Department. This key position will provide leadership, management, and creative marketing strategies to help drive the vision and strategy for the company. The successful candidate will also implement and manage continuous improvements in order to strengthen the company’s brand. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and will supervise the marketing team.
Manage marketing functions across all product lines including category management, new product introduction, packaging design, presentation development, company websites, social media, influencer marketing, creative production, industry public relations, marketing communications, agency management, event planning, consumer relations, merchandising and management of trade show and conventions. Oversee day to day operations of Marketing Department including supervision of staff.
College degree in Marketing, Business or related field required. 10+ years prior marketing experience preferred. Knowledge and expertise in the management of staff required. Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with vendors, customers, management and cross functionally throughout the organization required. Must be detail orientated and possess good analytical and reasoning skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Out of town travel, with overnight stays will be required. Position is based in Bakersfield, California. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record. Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background screen.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work with company management, sales and production departments, as well as outside vendors; to design, develop, implement, and manage marketing strategies for all brands. Create project goals and objectives, budgets and timelines. Oversee and analyze promotions and campaigns to determine relative success of activity. Recommend and build promotional programs and calendars for customers. Oversee customer-based marketing programs. Hire, train and supervise Marketing Department employees. Oversee staff interaction with vendors, customers and internal staff. Develop operating budget for department and monitor costs. Manage all aspects of corporate sponsorships, conventions and trade shows. Responsible for all marketing related contracts, collateral, advertising planning and execution, company website design and maintenance and social media channels. Other duties as assigned by EVP, Sales & Marketing.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office.
