Opportunity to execute and improve the following areas:

  • Achieve goals in sales and growth that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Develop and encourage new and repeat business opportunities with assigned customers.
  • Assist in preparing sales budgets and projections for team’s assigned accounts.
  • Work closely with customers and sales team to maintain a continuous knowledge of sales goals and future sales opportunities.
  • Analyze customer product categories and profit margins to develop plans for growth and profitability.
  • Execute performance scorecards at the employee, account, department, and organizational level(s).
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Maintain all customer communications: daily orders, credit resolution, quality resolution, order fulfillment and delivery satisfaction.
  • Provide customers with weekly pricing, ad, and promotional product quotes.
  • Monitor product quality to ensure customer satisfaction with daily visual quality checks and inventory reports. Communicate quality issues with the operations and quality control teams.
  • Communicate to customers all products and services available to them according to their demographic and service capabilities.
  • Hire, develop and manage the performance of Retail Account Managers using Key Performance Indicators, Key Measurements, and discretionary means of evaluation.
  • Develop the skills of the Inside Sales team members to produce the highest quality of work.

Competencies, Education, and Skills to be Successful:

  • A related bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years successful experience as a Sales Account Manager in the produce industry or at least 5 years successful related experience in the produce industry
  • Proficient skills in Produce Pro or similar software, Microsoft Office, and common E Mail systems
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting

Compensation/Salary: 
$75-85k, 7-15% bonus
