Primary Responsibilities:
- Grow produce sales year over year
- Achieve Progressive’s annual Strategic Plan, Goals, and Budget for Gross Margin Dollars Create and manage strong customer partnerships/relationships
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans for customers and commodities to drive sales Manage customer needs accordingly to maintain their loyalty to Progressive
- Travel as needed to visit customers and solicit new business
- Attend industry and customer-specific trade shows and events
- Seek new business opportunities to represent other growers’ products and sell them to our customer base
- Manage pricing and contracts for customers Embody Progressive’s Core Values and adhere to Progressive’s Core Processes
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Highly motivated / self-starter
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish) Able to partake and lead in video calls Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of commodity markets Excellent computer skills Effective organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow through Able to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work remotely without distractions Work effectively as a team and always respectful of others
- Travel as needed (normally 5-20% of time) Able to communicate with all levels within the organization
Compensation, Benefits, and Other Information:
- Salary commensurate with experience ranging from $65,000 – $120,000 annually
- Full-time, in-person position (40 hours per week) and may include varying time on weekends to service customers
- Medical, dental, vision, 401k plan including company match program, 15 days paid time off and 7 holidays per year
- Reference checks and background screenings are required for all candidates
